Barr lied under oath

By: TDF Editorial

William Barr this morning decided to fully torch his credibility in defense of Donald Trump, joining a long line of Republicans who have done the same to their own credibility. During the Attorney General’s appearance before the Senate Judiciary Committee, Sen. Lindsey Graham asked him “Did you have a problem with the way Comey handled the Clinton email investigation?”

“Yes, I said so at the time,” Barr responded.

He said so at the time? Barr must have forgotten the op-ed he wrote for the Washington Post on Halloween 2016 titled  ”James Comey did the right thing”.

The era of Trump sure has caused so many Republicans to have selective amnesia. Vote them all out. Also, Barr needs to be held accountable for lying under oath this morning. Republicans, do the right thing and stop the “party over principle” thing that has poisoned you over the last few years.

Donald Trump Lies… and lies… and lies.

By: TDF Editorial

Donald Trump lies. He lies with a regularity that has never been seen before in politics. His followers eat it up and Republican politicians defend it. His lying is getting worse.

The Washington Post is reporting that Trump made 5,000 “false and misleading claims” in his first 601 days in office … and his next 5,000, bringing him to 10,000, in the next 226 days.

The entire Republican Party is complicit in his lies. For the sake of our democracy and our country as a whole, he needs to be voted out of office next year.

The black guy they don’t like said something they could take out of context

Did you hear about the Easter worshippers? Those victims of the Sri Lankan terror attacks that were killed and injured while WORSHIPPING on EASTER?

“Easter worshipper” is the new tan suit. “Easter worshipper” is the new bike helmet. “Easter worshipper” is the new selfie stick.

The “false rage” people on the right do whatever they can to take and spin something to bash Barack Obama about and freak out over. It’s so old and so sad.

Nobody with two eyes and a basic concept of reason would think that by “Easter worshipper” he meant “people that worship Easter” so let it go, right wingers because your false rage is showing.

Friendly Reminder

Trump is a foul-mouthed bully who tried to fire the people who were investigating him and pressured his staff to lie to protect him.

His tirades against the media are transparent posturing; he knows perfectly well that the reporting he derides as “fake news” is factual.

Vote. Him. Out.

Does Kellyanne Conway have no shame!?

By: TDF Editorial

To say that yesterday was “interesting” would be an understatement. From the awkward Barr press conference prior to the release of the redacted Mueller report, to the bizarre Kellyanne Conway comment to the press where she said she and the administration would welcome “apologies”, and everything in between, it was a day that will be remembered for many reasons. At any rate, it was not a day that proved “total exoneration” for the president.

But let’s focus on Kellyanne.

Kellyanne Conway’s “fishing” for apologies is almost maddeningly ridiculous. The complete shamelessness from her shows how little she cares about her fellow Americans. Seriously, Kellyanne, Mueller named you personally for boosting Russian fake propaganda and retweeting IRA-controlled Twitter accounts! Not sure where to find this tidbit of information in the report? Well, check out pages 33 and 34. You’re welcome. Now apologize to your fellow Americans for doing that.

The U.S, now ranked as “problematic” for journalists

The U.S in the age of Trump’s rhetoric now has a new ranking. Reporters Sans Frontières, or Reporters Without Borders, lowered the U.S. to No. 48 out of 180 on its annual World Press Freedom Index, three spots lower than its place last year.

RSF’s rankings were determined by a multi-language, 87-question survey for media professionals. The responses were then combined with data on abuses against journalists.

There have been 46 journalists attacked in the U.S. since 2017, ten of them this year alone. Trump’s rhetoric was called out in the report, which stated that Trump “exacerbates” the problems press freedom is experiencing with his ramblings about “fake news” among other things.
